Leads Tracking Setup Guide

Integrate partner.io with your google tag manager to track leads effectively


Prerequisite

This guide assumes that you already have Google Tag manager up and running but if here is an extensive guide on how to get started.

Make sure you have copied the Partner script from the your Portal Settings page. It can be found by navigating to Partner Management -> Portal Settings.

The Script can be easily copied to your clipboard by clicking the copy icon next to Google Tag Manager Script

Creating a new Tag

  1. Within the Navigation tab select Tags from the left side menu.
  1. Click New to the right of the Tags container to begin creating a new tag. A pop out menu wil apear with two sections, Tag Configuration and Triggering.
  1. Click on the Tag Configuration box and select Custom HTML from the list.

Adding the Partner Script and triggers

  1. Paste the Partner script into the large HTML field below Tag Type.
  1. Next click on the Triggering box (as seen in Step 2) and select All Pages from the list.
  2. Click on Add Exception and select Form submission from the list.
  3. Click on Form Submission and see picture for appropriate settings.
  1. Be sure to rename your tag appropriately in the top left corner of the side out before finally clicking save.

Adding Form Variable

Finally to ensure that the tag works correctly we need to add a form variable to your workspace.

  1. Navigate to Variables in the left side menu.
  1. Click Configure in the top right corner of the Built-in Variables container.
  1. Scroll down to Forms and tick Form Element click the checkbox to enable it.

That's it! You have successfully integrated Partner with Google Tag Manager. Now you can track partner leads effectively.
